In Aija, the state government distributed certificates for gas cylinders under the Mahalakshmi Scheme on Wednesday. These gas cylinders will be provided at a reduced price of Rs 500 through the AbhayaHastham scheme. The certificates were handed out to eligible beneficiaries by local ration dealers.
The dealers explained that the number of gas cylinders each family receives will depend on their average gas usage over the past three years. Each family will have a yearly limit on how many cylinders they can get. The money for these cylinders will be directly transferred to the consumers’ bank accounts.
In Aija town, a total of 5,400 beneficiaries have been selected. People can only collect their certification documents from the specific ration shop where they are registered.
