Over the past ten years, Aija town has been struggling with various ongoing issues. To address these problems, an all-party committee was formed about a month ago. This committee consists of leaders from different political backgrounds. Their main goal is to discuss and find solutions to the most pressing problems faced by the town’s residents. The committee meets every Sunday to talk about these challenges and bring them to the attention of government officials and public representatives, who are expected to work on resolving them.
Last week, the committee submitted requests to the irrigation engineering officials and the district collector. They asked for water from the Krishna River to be released into Bingidoddi Lake. This would help fill the lake and provide water for around 600 acres of farmland. In response, the Superintending Engineer (SE) of the Irrigation Department sent Assistant Engineer (AE) Srinivasulu to inspect the fields, ponds, and lake. The AE promised that water from the Nagardoddi Dam would soon be directed to Bingidoddi Lake to support the farmers.
However, a week has passed, and no action has been taken by the officials. In today’s all-party meeting, the committee discussed this lack of progress and decided to file a complaint with higher authorities. They also warned that if the officials do not take action soon, they will organize protests to demand attention to their issues.
During the meeting, the committee also discussed other important issues. These included the need for a degree college, the renovation of the 30-bed hospital, the installation of electricity poles in Bharat Nagar, the construction of a bus shelter at Pulikal Road Junction, and the improvement of basic facilities at Bharat Nagar School.
Before the meeting, the all-party leaders visited the old 30-bed hospital, which is in poor condition. They spoke with DM HO Siddappa, who assured them that all necessary arrangements would be made to reopen the hospital soon.
The program was attended by several all-party leaders, including Nagardoddi Venkatramulu, MRPS Anjaneyulu, Morugu Veeresh, DM Taher, Medikonda Venkatesh, Kurva Vinod Kumar, Vijayabhaskar Reddy, Siddhartha, Kurva Pallayya, Kampati Bhagat Reddy, Medical Tirumala Reddy, Premalatha, and many others.
