Hyderabad: Former MP and ex-cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin and former Sports Minister Anurag Thakur are collaborating on the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ initiative to create a drug-free India.
Syed Noor, an Indo-Canadian lawyer and social reformer, as well as the founder of the WakeUp Humanity Organization, spearheaded this significant campaign. It took place at the Constitution Club of India in Delhi on Wednesday.
Azharuddin highlighted the role of sports in instilling discipline and confidence. He encouraged Indian youth to avoid drugs and focus on building a healthier nation.
Anurag Thakur, known for his initiatives against drug abuse, stated that this effort is more than just a campaign; it’s a movement. He called on every institution and individual to help make India drug-free.
Syed Noor pointed out the global crisis of drug addiction, stressing his duty to support India’s youth. He underlined that Nasha Mukt Bharat transcends politics, aiming to protect families and the future generation.
Dr. Nizamuddin, founder of Bharat Ke Anmol, backed the initiative. He discussed the importance of cultural and community-driven approaches to eliminate addiction from society.
