Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that several major projects will boost Telangana‘s economy. These include Bharat Future City, industrial corridors, the RRR, Metro Rail expansion, and new airports.
The state’s growth plan will be central to the TelanganaRising 2047 vision document, Reddy highlighted at the ‘Praja Palana Dinotsavam’ event on Wednesday.
Key projects like the Gandhi Sarovar at Bapu Ghat, greenfield highways, dry ports, the second phase of the Metro Rail, radial roads, and airports in Warangal and Adilabad will transform Telangana. Industrial corridors connecting Hyderabad with Nagpur, Bangalore, and Vijayawada are also planned.
Reddy expressed a strong commitment to implementing these initiatives quickly, aiming to make Telangana a significant contributor to the country’s progress by 2047. The vision document will detail plans for Bharat Future City to meet international standards, positioning Hyderabad as a modern gateway.
Highlighting welfare programs, Reddy criticized the BRS government for misleading the public with promises of double-bedroom houses. The Congress government, he said, is prioritizing the construction of Indiramma houses and aims to deliver 4.50 lakh houses by year-end.
Reddy accused the BRS government of neglecting education, suggesting it was a deliberate move to prevent educated youths from demanding jobs. He reaffirmed his government’s dedication to securing Telangana’s rightful water share from the Krishna and Godavari rivers, criticizing the KCR government for failing to protect the state’s water rights. He pledged to pursue a legal battle to ensure fair water sharing and secure every drop of the Krishna river’s water for Telangana.
