Hyderabad – Boys claimed most of the top positions in the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test 2025 (TGEAPCET-2025), held between April 29 and May 4. In both the engineering and agriculture and pharmacy (A&P) streams, boys dominated the top ten ranks, except for one girl who secured the fifth rank in the A&P category.
Despite not making it into the top 10 ranks in engineering, girls outperformed boys in terms of pass percentage. Girls achieved a 73.88% pass rate, slightly higher than the 72.79% recorded for boys. The overall pass rate in the engineering stream was 73.26%, a slight drop from 74.98% in 2024.
In the A&P stream, girls again led with an 88.32% pass rate, while boys had 86.29%. The overall qualifying percentage in this stream was 87.92%, which also dropped compared to 97.82% last year.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy released the TGEAPCET-2025 results on Sunday. He was joined by Prof. V Balaksita Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), Dr. Yogita Rana, State Education Secretary, A. Sridevasena, Commissioner of Collegiate and Technical Education, and Prof. B Dean Kumar, the exam convenor.
Palla Bharath Chandra from Parvathipuram, Andhra Pradesh, secured the first rank in engineering, while Saketh Reddy Peddakkagari from Medchal topped the agriculture and pharmacy stream.
A total of 3,07,088 students registered for the exam, which was conducted across 16 zones and 124 test centres. The overall attendance rate was an impressive 93.91%.
In the engineering stream, 2,07,190 candidates appeared, and 1,51,779 qualified. For the A&P stream, 86,762 students registered, 81,198 attended, and 71,309 cleared the test.
