Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Dr. Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka visited the flood-affected areas. She emphasized that officials should be available to help people until the rains and floods recede. Arrangements should be made to evacuate people from low-lying villages to safer places.

On Monday, the Minister, along with District Collector Diwakara TS and SP Dr. Sabarish, visited several sites including Ralla Vagu, Medivagu, Daiyala Vagu, Gundla Vagu, Tadwai Mandal, and others.

They monitored the flood flow and gave instructions to the authorities. Villagers in Project Nagar and Venglapur were asked to stay alert and follow official instructions.

The Minister instructed officials to carry out temporary repairs on bridges to maintain transport. Strict measures should be taken to prevent people from going near dangerous streams. Fishermen should avoid fishing in ponds during high water flow, and transportation should be stopped if roads are flooded.

If any village remains waterlogged due to heavy rains, all department officials should be ready to move people to safer areas immediately. The services of NDRF personnel should be utilized. Warning boards should be installed at waterfalls, and control rooms have been set up in the Mulugu district collector’s office and ITDA office in Eturu Nagaram for emergencies.

People are advised to stay vigilant and avoid going out unless necessary. Authorities have ordered the immediate relocation of people from low-lying areas to rehabilitation centers.

The government has sanctioned funds for new bridge constructions: Rs 9.30 crore for a bridge over Dodla Kondai Jampanna brook and Rs 5 crore for a bridge over Boggula brook.

Seethakka mentioned that due to floodwaters, traffic to some villages has stopped. Proposals for a high-level bridge have been sent, and construction is expected to be completed by the next fair.

The Minister assured that authorities will monitor river levels continuously. Information on rising river levels will be available immediately, helping predict which villages may face difficulties. Resettlement centers have already been set up in some areas for people living in affected regions.
