In a press conference in Delhi, BRS MP Vadiraju Ravichandra and other members of the Rajya Sabha criticized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for filing a baseless case against MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha. They were upset over her arrest and felt that the timing of the case, after two years, was meant to attract attention during the upcoming elections.

Vadiraju Ravichandra, along with Nama Nageswara Rao, KR Suresh Reddy, and Manne Srinivas Reddy, pointed out that the ED’s approach seemed unfair. They noted that while only 200 cases were filed by the agency between 2004 and 2014, a much larger number of 2954 cases were filed in the following ten years starting from 2014.

During the press briefing, MP Vadiraju emphasized that MLC Kavitha was innocent in the case and was actually a victim. He believed that she would come out of this situation unharmed, comparing her strength to a washed pearl that remains pure and shiny despite facing challenges.
