In Gadwal, there are serious accusations against the Aiza Mandal Educational Officer (MEO). Kuruvu Pallayya, a leader with BRSV and district coordinator, claims the MEO is working with private school managements and ignoring breaches of government education rules.
The controversy began when the owner of Sri Krishnaveni Private High School was caught selling school textbooks and notebooks illegally by the roadside, near the school. These items were being sold under the pretense of a bookstore with a fake certificate.
Pallayya and his team confronted the school officials and informed the District Educational Officer (DEO). The DEO acted swiftly, ordering the MEO to confiscate the illegal books. Surprisingly, the MEO allegedly refused to comply with these orders.
Pallayya questioned the MEO’s behavior, saying it cast doubt on his trustworthiness. He demanded the MEO’s suspension. When asked why he didn’t act, the MEO reportedly said he needed protection, a statement Pallayya criticized as irresponsible.
Pallayya condemned the education department’s failure to act, even when violations were evident. He accused them of enabling private school misconduct, which weakens government schools.
The school owner also reportedly set up a shop 40 meters from the school to sell textbooks, violating rules that forbid private schools from directly selling books or supplies.
Other allegations include:
- Charging students up to ₹2000 for bonafide and transfer certificates.
- Raising school fees arbitrarily: Class 10 fees reportedly jumped from ₹28,000 in 2024-25 to ₹34,000 in 2025-26 with no justification.
Pallayya and his supporters, including Raju, Veeresh, and Riyaz, called for the school’s license to be revoked and for officials ignoring violations to face consequences. They warned that such negligence erodes public trust and harms government schools.
BRSV is committed to continuing their protest until justice is served and necessary changes are made.
