    Bullock Cart Racing Kicks Off at Shiva Veeranjaneya Swamy Jatara

    The bullock cart racing competitions were inaugurated on Thursday in Aragidda village of Gattu Mandal, Jogulamba Gadwal district. These races are part of the annual Shiva Veeranjaneya Swamy Jatara celebrations. Former Market Committee Chairman, Pacharla Sridhar Goud, was the chief guest for the occasion and received a warm welcome from the villagers, who honored him with a garland and a shawl in a grand ceremony.

    Speaking at the event, Sridhar Goud expressed his happiness about the bullock cart races being organized during the festival. He praised the tradition of celebrating the Jatara every year and highlighted its role in fostering a sense of community among the villagers.

    Several prominent individuals attended the event, including youth leaders and community members such as Madusudhan Reddy, Govardhan Goud, Raghu Raju Goud, Gattu Mohan Goud, and Market Yard Director Bajari. Other participants included Gajula Santosh, Rajappa, Pugyala Thimmappa, Naveen Chari, P. Purushottam Reddy, and P. Venkat Reddy, along with many others from the village, including elders, farmers, and youth leaders.

    The event saw enthusiastic participation from the community, showcasing the cultural importance of the Jatara and the traditions it upholds. The races brought together people from all walks of life, strengthening the bonds among the villagers and preserving their rich heritage.
