CEC to Meet with ‘Enforcement Agencies’ to Ensure Free and Fair Assembly Polls, Minimize Inducements

The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar will be visiting Telangana for three days from September 3. During his visit, he will meet with about 20 agencies from both the State and Central government who are involved in enforcement activities.

The CEO (Chief Electoral Officer) Vikas Raj inaugurated the Media Centre in BRKR Bhavan and shared that these agencies have been providing weekly reports to the Election Commission. They will have detailed discussions with the Commissioner about their preparedness to control inducements during the visit.

On September 4, 5, and 6, the full commission will be coming to Telangana. They will hold meetings at the State level with various parties, Collectors, CPs, and SPs. They will also meet with the Chief Secretary and DGP. More than 20 enforcement agencies have been identified, and they already share reports on a weekly basis. The Commissioner will meet with them to discuss controlling inducements.
