Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed the city’s police, Traffic, HYDRA, and GHMC teams to stay on high alert to manage traffic and other issues caused by heavy rains in Hyderabad.

He instructed these departments to work together and activate emergency teams to be available 24/7, focusing on rain-affected areas. The Chief Minister checked on the progress of water harvesting wells at 141 identified waterlogging spots in the city. He advised using automatic pumps to remove rainwater from these wells.

Officials were told to act quickly based on the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast. A new monitoring system should be set up at the Command Control Centre to keep track of rain and flood intensities.
