Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy honored Seerole Sub-Inspector (SI) Ch Nagesh of Mahabubabad district for his heroic efforts in rescuing 40 families trapped by floods in Seetharam Thanda of Gudur mandal. The families were successfully relocated to safer areas, ensuring their safety during the floods.
After this, the Chief Minister also recognized the efforts of the Circle Inspectors (CIs) who provided essential supplies like food, water, and biscuits to passengers stranded due to a railway track being washed away by floodwaters near Kesamudram and Intikanne. Rural CI Sarvayya and Town CI Devender were especially acknowledged for coordinating the transfer of 5,300 passengers from the railway stations at Kesamudram to Kazipet.
Director General of Police (DGP) Dr. Jitender and Additional DGP (Law & Order) Mahesh M Bhagwat praised Mahabubabad SP Sudhir Ramanath Kekan for his effective supervision during the rescue and relief operations in the district amidst heavy rains. They also commended SI Nagesh, CI Sarvayya, and CI Devender for their dedication to saving lives during the floods.
In Medak district, the DGP and Additional DGP also recognized the efforts of SP Sri Uday Kumar Reddy and Quick Response Team (QRT) personnel, including Head Constable Bandi Srinivas, Police Constables Suresh Nayak, Krishna, Ramesh, and Home Guard Mahesh. These officers, along with local youth, bravely rescued a person swept away by the floodwaters in the Gunduvagu stream. Using a rope, they successfully pulled the individual from the water, ensuring his safety.
Finally, DGP Dr. Jitender also appreciated the leadership shown by Nalgonda SP Sharat Chandra Pawar and Nagarkurnool SP Vaibhav Gaikwad in a separate rescue operation. They, along with their teams, including DSsP of Devarakonda and Achampet, and CIs of Dindi and Achampet, fearlessly rescued 10 members of the Chenchu Tribe from the dangerous Dindi River waters. Their courageous actions were highly commended.
