Hyderabad: On October 19, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy handed out licenses to newly trained land surveyors. He emphasized the importance of safeguarding farmers’ land rights and resolving their long-standing issues.
Speaking at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister urged surveyors to prioritize farmers and act with honesty. He stressed that treating farmers unfairly is akin to wronging one’s own family. He encouraged them to work with integrity, stating that their efforts would bring respect to Telangana. The surveyors are expected to serve in villages and hamlets with dedication.
With the implementation of the Bhoobharthi Act, attaching a survey map is now mandatory for land registration. To support this, the Telangana government has deployed trained land surveyors, assigning 4-6 officials to each mandal.
Out of around 10,000 applicants, 7,000 were chosen for training, and 3,465 have qualified so far. Training for an additional 3,000 surveyors began on August 18.
The Chief Minister urged the new surveyors to contribute to the Telangana Rising Vision 2047. He envisions the state becoming a 1 trillion USD economy by 2034 and reaching a 3 trillion USD economy by 2047.
