Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in Serilingampally has sent a notice to Oakridge International School in Khajaguda. The school is using public roads for parking their vehicles without permission, which is causing major traffic problems for the public.
School vehicles have been parked along a 500-meter stretch of road in Khajaguda. This has led to significant traffic jams, making it hard for commuters and violating the GHMC Act of 1955 and the TG-bPASS Act of 2020.
The GHMC Act of 1955, specifically Section 405, forbids blocking or taking over public or government land. Parking vehicles illegally on public roads is not allowed and can lead to fines, towing, and legal actions.
GHMC has demanded that the school immediately remove their vehicles from the roads. They are also warned not to park on public roads again. Additionally, the school must explain their actions in writing within three days after receiving the notice.
