The police in Hyderabad are setting up check-posts to monitor the transport of animals for the upcoming Bakrid festival. Livestock traders must have valid documents for transporting animals into the city. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and police are working together to ensure a smooth festival.

Check-posts will be manned around the clock at major junctions, with teams including Animal Husbandry, police, and GHMC officials. Stations in the South Zone have set up check-posts in key areas, where vehicles will be checked and details recorded. Prohibited animals will be seized.

Sanitation teams, emergency services, and veterinary assistance will be available, according to GHMC officials. The goal is to ensure that the festival is celebrated without any issues or communal problems.
