The incessant rainfall has caused distress for people living in low-lying areas in the city. Residents living near nalas and lakes are urging the civic body to clear garbage and sewage that has flooded their areas. The LB Nagar constituency, particularly Nagole and its surrounding areas, is facing a significant issue with sewage mixing with rainwater.

This is not a new problem for residents, as they face similar situations every monsoon season. Manholes and major nalas are overflowing, causing dirty water to gush out.

In Kukatpally, heavy rain on Tuesday caused a chemical foam to accumulate in the streets of Shirdinagar and Dharaninagar. This foam is a result of rainwater reacting to chemicals mixed with sewage from nearby industries.

The foam has caused inconvenience to locals, who have not seen any action taken by the local authorities to clear it. Complaints have been posted on social media, with residents expressing frustration about the flooding in their areas.

Residents of Anjali Gardens in Manikonda are also suffering from houses being submerged in floodwater caused by the rain. These issues have led to the trending hashtag “whereisktr” on social media, as residents question the whereabouts of KTR, a prominent political figure in the city.
