    VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has ordered an immediate investigation into a troubling incident at Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Krishna district. Secret cameras were discovered in the women’s hostel washroom.

    Following the Chief Minister’s directive, District Minister Kollu Ravindra, along with the District Collector and SPs, were instructed to visit the college and speed up the investigation. The police have already started their work by recording the statements of students who may be involved. Early reports suggest that a female student might have been involved in setting up the cameras.

    Krishna District SP Gangadhar expressed deep regret over the incident and assured that the investigation would be thorough. The police have confiscated laptops and phones from the suspects. SP Gangadhar promised that those responsible would face strict punishment and that strong measures would be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.

    Home Minister Anita also reacted strongly to the incident, warning that severe action would be taken against the culprits. She emphasized that steps must be taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

    Minister for Human Resources Nara Lokesh has ordered a separate inquiry into the hidden camera allegations. He warned that anyone found guilty would face harsh consequences. He also instructed educational institutions to implement preventive measures against harassment, ensuring the safety of all students.
