Former contract workers at New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) have expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for helping them become regular employees. A program was held in the New Delhi constituency where the RMR personnel were regularized after working on a contract basis for a long time. At least 4,500 families will benefit from this decision, according to Kejriwal.

The process of regularizing these positions began in 2014 when CM Arvind Kejriwal helped the TMR staff obtain RMR status. In 2018, the NDMC passed a resolution to regularize them and a proposal was sent to the Union Home Ministry. Kejriwal wrote letters to the Union Home Minister and had multiple meetings with them before receiving confirmation this year that the RMR personnel had been regularized.
