Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, strongly criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for comparing the BJP to the British. He said such comments were inappropriate, shameful, and disrespectful to the BJP’s patriotic values. According to Kumar, comparing the BJP to the British, who ruled and exploited India, was completely wrong.
Bandi Sanjay accused the Congress Party of being corrupt and opportunistic. He even claimed that Congress was more dangerous than the Coronavirus. He said Revanth Reddy’s dream of stopping the BJP from forming a government in Telangana was unrealistic. According to him, Congress is like a sinking ship, and people have already started losing faith in it.
He pointed out that while the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) faced public anger after ten years in power, the Congress government has created more dissatisfaction in just 15 months. He also noted that Revanth Reddy failed to win seats in his own district, Mahbubnagar, and in Malkajgiri, where the BJP won.
Kumar reminded that Revanth Reddy lost in Kamareddy and also performed poorly in the MLC elections. He claimed that the BJP now holds more than 50 percent of the MP and MLC seats, and this shows the growing support for the party. In the recent Hyderabad MLC elections, Congress found it difficult to even field candidates, and was reportedly ready to hand over the seat to AIMIM due to lack of support.
He mocked Revanth Reddy for making bold statements in Gujarat, a BJP stronghold, saying it was the “biggest joke of the century.” He questioned how a party struggling with internal issues could claim to lead a national change.
Finally, Bandi Sanjay alleged that Congress and AIMIM play religious politics and divide people in the name of reservations. He said no matter what political tactics they try, the BJP will eventually come to power in Telangana. He advised Congress to focus on keeping power in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh rather than dreaming of stopping the BJP’s growth.
