Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has criticized Union Minister Kishan Reddy for staying silent on important issues in the state. His main concerns were about the cleaning projects for the Sabarmati River in Gujarat and the Musi River in Telangana. Revanth accused Kishan Reddy and the BJP of showing double standards. He said that while they praise Gujarat’s development model, they avoid supporting similar efforts in Telangana.
Speaking to the media, Revanth questioned why Kishan Reddy had not spoken up about the Sabarmati Riverfront cleaning project. He pointed out that the BJP often highlights Gujarat as a model for development across the nation. However, when it comes to supporting the Musi River project in Hyderabad, which is crucial for Telangana, the BJP seems to be hesitant.
Revanth further asked why there was reluctance to back the Musi project. He wondered if the Gujarat model, which is promoted as a success story, was failing when it came to practical implementation in Telangana. He accused the BJP of not caring about the Musi River’s development because, in his words, “it was not in their interest.”
The Chief Minister also criticized the BJP’s actions in Maharashtra. He claimed that under Eknath Shinde’s leadership, the BJP had misled the people of Maharashtra. Revanth suggested that the BJP was using Kishan Reddy in a similar way in Telangana.
Revanth’s strong remarks come at a time when tensions between the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the BJP are growing. Both parties have been clashing over development plans and political strategies, especially as the state moves closer to upcoming elections. Revanth’s comments reflect the increasing rivalry between the two sides.
