    The Chairman & Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), N Balaram Naik, announced that the company has achieved significant milestones in coal production and transportation. In a review meeting held in Hyderabad, it was revealed that 49.66 million tonnes of coal were produced, 51 million tonnes of coal were transported, and 306.6 million cubic meters of overburden were removed.

    During the last nine months, the company witnessed a growth of 5.15 percent in coal production, 8 percent in coal transportation, and 6 percent in overburden removal compared to the previous year. To meet the energy requirements for the upcoming summer season, the company aims to produce and transport 2.24 lakh tonnes of coal and remove 15 lakh cubic meters of overburden daily. This will ensure sufficient coal reserves for thermal power stations for a period of 21 days.

    The review meeting was attended by company Directors D Satyanarayana Rao, NVK Srinivas, G Venkateswara Reddy, and other senior officials.
