Khammam district plays a key role in the newly announced state leadership of the Communist Party of India (CPI). This decision emerged from the party’s 4th Telangana State Conference held over three days in Gajularamaram, Medchal district.
Bagam Hemanth Rao, a significant figure from Khammam, secured a spot on the State Executive Committee. Coming from a farming family in Muthapuram village, Nelakondapalli Mandal, Rao’s political career started with student activism. He previously served as District Secretary of the All India Students’ Federation (AISF) and later became State President of the All India Youth Federation (AIYF). He has extensive experience, having been the District Secretary for both undivided and residual Khammam.
Mohammed Maulana from Muthagudem village, Khammam Rural Mandal, was re-elected as the Chairman of the CPI Telangana State Control Commission for the second term. Maulana is regarded as a senior and influential Communist leader in the district, and his re-election underscores his ongoing dedication to party discipline and internal governance.
Additionally, Dandi Suresh, the CPI District Secretary, and Jammula Jitender Reddy, Assistant Secretary, joined the State Executive Committee, enhancing Khammam’s influence in the state’s leadership.
