The Sri Rama Temple in Bhadrachalam is preparing for a large number of visitors as the Jyestabhishekam Utsavam starts on Tuesday. The temple festivities began today. Because of this event, the Ramayya Nitya Kalyanam programme is paused, making way for the Abhishekam programme on Wednesday.
With the end of the summer holidays, the Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple has seen a big rise in visitors, especially on weekends. Many devotees from across the state have gathered at the temple, chanting Lord Sri Rama’s name with joy.
People wanting to see the deities have been lining up since early morning. The queues for both general and special darshan are long and continue throughout the day. Temple priests use golden Tulsi sticks during rituals at the feet of the idols of Lakshmana and Sita Rama in the main temple.
Due to the high number of visitors, the wait time for free darshan is three hours, while special darshan requires a two-hour wait.
