The Commissioner of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation conducted a comprehensive field inspection of Kavuri Hills and Kakatiya Hills areas, accompanied by the Zonal Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. The inspection focused on assessing civic amenities, reviewing ongoing development plans, and addressing resident concerns in these prominent localities.
During the visit, the Commissioner actively engaged with Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs), morning walkers, and local residents to gather direct feedback on civic services and infrastructure. The inspection also included a detailed review of the progress made under the 99 Days Action Plan and the implementation of door-to-door waste collection systems in both areas.
At Kavuri Hills Park, the Commissioner reviewed existing facilities including various amenities and the yoga centre. The inspection aimed to assess the quality of recreational infrastructure available to residents and identify areas requiring improvement or maintenance.
In Kakatiya Hills, the Commissioner participated in a rally organized with RWAs and personally inspected the Friday Dry Day programme. The visit included a thorough examination of Kakatiya Hills Park-1 located on Road No. 4, where the Commissioner issued specific instructions for the development of shuttle and pickleball courts to enhance sports facilities for residents.
The Commissioner directed officials to ensure regular sanitation activities in both localities. A critical inspection was conducted at a water stagnation point on Road No. 3 and at junctions on Road No. 4 and Road No. 6, with specific instructions issued for implementing mitigation measures to address drainage concerns.
Immediate action was ordered for the clearance of Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste accumulated along the Road No. 6-11 stretch in the Waqf land area. The Commissioner emphasized the need for swift removal to maintain cleanliness and prevent environmental hazards in the residential zone.
The inspection also covered compliance with the “No Trade – No Bin” policy among street vendors, ensuring proper waste management practices. The Commissioner stressed the importance of removing encroachments that affect road width and obstruct smooth vehicle movement, directing officials to take necessary enforcement action.
The field visit underscored the municipal corporation’s commitment to strengthening on-ground implementation of civic programmes, improving public amenities, and ensuring better civic management. The Commissioner’s directions focused on addressing immediate concerns while ensuring sustainable development and maintenance of infrastructure in both Kavuri Hills and Kakatiya Hills areas.
