During the Devi Navaratri festival, many devotees from the Telugu states gather at famous temples to seek blessings. Some of the most popular temples are Bezawada Kanaka Durga, Warangal Bhadrakali, and Edupayala Vanadurga Bhavani, which attract large crowds every year.

This year, the Mahashakti temple in Karimnagar has gained special attention. Thousands of devotees are visiting the temple, making it one of the most celebrated pilgrimage sites. The temple is bustling with people, some of whom are Bhavani Deeksha followers, while others are there to enjoy Dandiya activities. The entire area has turned into a grand celebration. People are coming not only from nearby districts but also from neighboring states to witness the powerful goddess and offer their prayers.

According to temple authorities, more than 50,000 devotees visit the temple every day during the Navaratri celebrations. To ensure visitors have a smooth experience, all necessary arrangements have been made. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Minister of State for Home Affairs, who is also taking part in the Bhavani Diksha, is personally overseeing these arrangements. He is staying at the temple and listening to the concerns of both ordinary citizens and political leaders, trying to resolve them. His presence ensures that all devotees have the chance to see the goddess.

One of the highlights this year is the special decoration of Mahashakti Ammavaru, the goddess of the temple. The decorations are more elaborate than last year, with flowers being brought in from Karnataka. A team, led by a Karnataka-based priest named Shrivatsa, is decorating the goddess in different forms each day of the Navaratri festival.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar shared that on the second day of the celebrations, the goddess appeared in the form of Sri Gayatri Devi (Brahmacharini). On Thursday, she was adorned as Bala Tripura Sundari, and on Friday, she was decorated with dry fruits as three goddesses. The decorations are completed early in the morning, allowing devotees to have darshan throughout the day. Additionally, ten types of special Harathis are being offered, and midnight abhishekams (rituals) have become a special attraction for devotees.

The temple and its surroundings are beautifully lit with electric lights, creating a spectacular view at night. Devotees from the Karimnagar district and other parts of the state are flocking to the temple to witness the beautiful decorations and perform special poojas (prayers) to the goddess. The Mahashakti temple is truly a sight to behold during this festival season.
