Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santhosh stressed the importance of government hospitals providing accessible and high-quality healthcare to the public.

He urged officials to ensure that all necessary medical services are accessible within the district. Patients should not have to travel to Kurnool or elsewhere for treatments. The Collector emphasized increasing childbirths in government hospitals and boosting institutional deliveries.

He instructed ANMs and ASHA workers to monitor pregnant women closely, educate them about precautions during high-risk pregnancies, and ensure proper care until safe delivery. Accurate Antenatal Care (ANC) records should be maintained, and if a pregnant woman relocates, a detailed report must be prepared.

The Collector highlighted the need for essential medicines to be readily available and for the hospital to remain clean. Immunization programs must proceed without interruption, and sufficient stocks of medicines for diseases like malaria, dengue, and chikungunya should be kept.

District Medical Officer Siddappa, Dr. Madhurya, medical staff, and other officials joined the inspection.
