District sees two nominations on opening day

Two nominations were filed on the first day of the parliamentary elections in Nagar Kurnool district. The nominations were filed by Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Potuganti Bharat Prasad and Indian National Congress Party candidate Mallu Ravi, according to Election Returning Officer and District Collector Uday Kumar.

The process of nominations for the Nagar Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency started on Thursday. Both candidates submitted their nomination papers on the first day of the filing period.

The Election Returning Officer confirmed that only two nominations were filed on the initial day. The candidates will now go through the verification process to ensure their eligibility to contest in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
