Hyderabad recently held its annual Aahvaanam Independence Day event, organized by Akan in partnership with the Blood Warriors Foundation. The event aimed to promote a future without Thalassemia and attracted a large crowd of supporters and community leaders.
Throughout the day, attendees participated in various activities designed to raise awareness and funds. The event featured a special traditional meal, highlighting unity and community spirit.
Nihal Reddy Gurrala, the founder of Akan, expressed joy over the event’s success. He shared, “Aahvaanam was created to give back to society. It’s uplifting to see many people unite for this cause. Our emphasis on traditional meals has been met with great enthusiasm.”
Krishna from the Blood Warriors Foundation stressed the significance of these efforts. He stated, “This platform is crucial for raising Thalassemia awareness. Events like these help educate more people and motivate collective efforts towards eliminating Thalassemia in India.”
