Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority has reported a cyclonic system over the Northwest Bay of Bengal, near the coasts of West Bengal and Odisha. A low-pressure area could form here within 24 hours. This weather event may bring moderate to heavy rain to certain locations over the next three days.
Today, districts like Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Manyam, and Alluri could see moderate to heavy showers. Nearby areas such as Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, and Eluru might also experience similar weather conditions. Additionally, rain is expected in parts of Krishna, NTR, and Guntur districts.
Lighter rains are anticipated in Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Bapatla, Palnadu, and Prakasam districts. Wind speeds could reach 40-60 kmph.
Fishermen are advised to stay ashore until Thursday, and residents in low-lying areas should remain alert.
