Farmers in Miryalaguda, Nalgonda district, held a protest at Sangam Dairy in Srinivas Nagar. This dairy was recently bought by Sangam Dairy in an auction after the previous owner, VT Dairy, failed to repay loans to the SBI bank.

The farmers from Srinivas Nagar village and nearby areas were upset because they had invested in VT Dairy and supplied milk, but they were not paid for their contributions. Now that Sangam Dairy has taken over, they are demanding payment from the new owners.

The protesters also raised concerns about employment. They pointed out that VT Dairy had provided jobs to around 500 people in the past. However, Sangam Dairy has brought in workers from the Andhra region, ignoring the local population. The farmers insisted that jobs at the dairy should be given to local people.

In response, VT Dairy owners, Venkateshwar Rao and Satyanarayana, revealed that the market value of their dairy and the land is approximately 25 crore. They accused the bank of colluding with Sangam Dairy to auction off the property for only 11.5 crore without informing them. They mentioned that this issue is being contested in the High Court and demanded that the dairy should only be operated after paying the full market value and settling the outstanding dues.
