    In Hyderabad, the FSSAI Task Force team and GHMC’s Food Safety Officer recently inspected popular bakeries and ice cream parlours in Banjara Hills. The teams visited Labonel Fine Baking, Manam Chocolate Karkhana, and Baskin Robbins.

    During the inspection at Labonel Fine Baking, expired Monalisa Dark/White Chocolate Crispearls were found and items worth Rs 4,170 were discarded. Imported American Garden apple cider vinegar bottles without proper labeling were seized. The Medical Fitness Certificate of Food Handlers was also found to be expired.

    At Manam Chocolate, the Food Business Operator was compliant with FSSAI regulations. However, at Baskin Robbins, expired packs of Horn White Chocolates were discovered and promptly discarded. The food handler’s medical fitness certificates were missing during the inspection.

    Earlier inspections at Kritunga – The Palegar’s Cuisine Restaurant, Hotel Sai Brundavan, Master Chef Restaurant, Rest O Bar, and KFC revealed unhygienic food storage practices and expired food items.
