Gallery G is changing how people enjoy and share art with its traveling show called “On the Go.” After a successful start in Kochi at the Raja Varma Hall, Taj Malabar Resort & Spa from May 2nd to 4th, 2025, the exhibition is heading to Taj Krishna, Hyderabad from July 11th to 13th, 2025.
For over 20 years, Gallery G has been a key player in the Indian art scene, known for its high-quality displays and dedication to both traditional and modern Indian art. With “On the Go,” the gallery aims to bring art directly to its fans, city by city. Gitanjali Maini, the gallery’s Founder and Managing Director, states that this initiative is about reaching out to the people who have supported them over the years.
Hyderabad was chosen as the next stop for its rich cultural history and modern vibe. It’s a city known for its elegance and artistic appreciation, making it a perfect fit for the exhibition. Maini believes Hyderabad reflects the values that Gallery G stands for.
The Hyderabad edition will feature a wide range of artists from across India. This includes notable names like Ganapathy Hegde, Bharati Prajapati, Sangeeta Baid, Jai Khanna, and renowned modern artists such as M. F. Husain and V. S. Gaitonde. The exhibit will also include traditional paintings and rare sculptures.
Maini emphasizes that each artist was selected for their ability to captivate audiences beyond a typical gallery setting, showcasing the evolving face of Indian visual art.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors in Hyderabad can enjoy special events, including a talk about art as history with author Manu S. Pillai.
