Narayanpet police are preparing for the Ganesh Shobha Yatra and idol immersion, set to start early Friday. They have implemented extensive security measures to ensure everything goes smoothly.
District SP Yogesh Gautam, IPS, informed the media on Thursday about the security arrangements. He mentioned that CCTV cameras have been set up along the main route of the procession. These cameras will provide continuous monitoring, with live feeds sent directly to the Command Control Centre at the SP Office.
The SP personally checked the arrangements, ensuring cameras cover the path from Ganesh Marg in the town center to Konda Reddy Palli Cheruvu, the main immersion site. Surveillance systems from Utkoor, Makthal, Kosgi, and Marikal mandals are also linked to the district’s monitoring system for better coordination.
The Ganesh Shobha Yatra will travel through the town, starting at Ganesh Marg. It will pass through Motchivada Saraf Bazaar, Centre Chowk, and Subhash Road, before reaching Kondareddypalli Lake for the idol immersion as part of the Vinayaka Nimajjanam celebrations.
SP Gautam assured a secure and peaceful event. He urged devotees to cooperate with security officials and strictly adhere to the safety guidelines during the processions.
