The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert...

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rain in Telangana for the next five days. This comes as a relief from the hot summer weather. Various areas in the state, such as Rangareddy, Bhongir, Malkajgiri, Jangaon, Nalgonda, and Suryapet, experienced scattered rainfall on Tuesday morning due to a low-pressure system in Eastern Vidarbha, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu.

A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in districts like Asifabad, Mancherial, Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Janagam, Yadadri, and Nagarkurnool for Wednesday. Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for Peddapalli, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, and Rangareddy districts for rain accompanied by gusty winds of 40–50 km/h.

The IMD predicts that the low-pressure system will persist, leading to more rain and possible hailstorms until May 12. Previously, there were showers in places like Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Siddipet, and Rangareddy. The maximum temperature recorded on Monday was 46.8 degrees Celsius in some areas.

Unfortunately, heavy rainfall has caused damage to paddy stored in market yards in some districts.
