Services now available through Deputy Commissioners; online applications streamlined
Hyderabad, November 27, 2025 – The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decentralized advertisement and name board approvals to make services faster and more citizen-friendly, marking a significant step toward improving ease of doing business in the city.
Circle-Level Processing
These permissions, earlier processed only at the Head Office, can now be availed at the Circle level through Deputy Commissioners, significantly reducing processing time and bringing services closer to citizens.
Online Application Portal
Citizens must submit applications online at https://advt.ghmc.gov.in, which offers comprehensive services including:
- Apply for glow signboards, flex boards, and stickers
- Make online payments
- Track application status
- Pay deviation charges
- Name change requests
- Owner name change
- Add signboard
- Block service
- Mobile number update
Transparent Workflow
Every request follows a transparent workflow: Citizen → Field Officer → Deputy Commissioner — ensuring smooth and timely processing.
Four-Step Process:
Step 1 – Citizen Application: Apply online and make payment
Step 2 – Field Inspection: Officer inspects the site and submits report
Step 3 – Deviation Payment: Pay deviation amount (if applicable) at https://advt.ghmc.gov.in/Citizen/DeviationPayment
Step 4 – Deputy Commissioner: Reviews remarks and Approves/Rejects
Ease of Doing Business
The decentralization initiative is part of GHMC’s broader efforts to improve ease of doing business and enhance citizen services by reducing bureaucratic delays and bringing governance closer to the people.
Business owners and citizens can now obtain permissions more quickly without multiple visits to the GHMC Head Office, streamlining the approval process for commercial signage and name boards across Hyderabad.
