Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has a vision to make Hyderabad the main hub for the Indian film industry. He has asked the Information Department and Film Development Corporation to create a detailed plan for this goal. Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Duddilla Sridhar Babu joined the meeting to discuss important topics. The Deputy Chief Minister wants Hyderabad to become a film city that attracts film industry leaders from both India and abroad.
Currently, filmmakers face challenges as they need various approvals from departments like police, fire, and municipal agencies. To simplify this, a single-window clearance system will be set up. The Deputy Chief Minister has instructed the appointment of a special officer in the Film Development Corporation to manage and speed up these approvals using this new system.
He also mentioned that filming at tourist spots in the state will boost tourism. Additionally, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted that cinema theatres charge too much for food and other items, which affects the common people. Officials have been asked to control these prices. The government had previously given 50 acres of land to the Film Development Corporation, and officials need to report on its status at the next meeting. The Deputy Chief Minister suggested inviting the RCS Committee for the Chitrapuri Colony to the upcoming meeting.
The Telangana Gaddar Film Awards on the 14th of this month should be celebrated in a grand way, according to the Deputy Chief Minister. He wants all major figures from the Telugu film industry and notable actors from India to be invited.
FDC Chairman Dil Raju, Home Department’s Special Chief Secretary Ravi Gupta, Information Commissioner Harish, FDC Director Kishore Babu, and others attended the meeting.
