On Wednesday, there was an argument between two MLAs, Rega Kantha Rao and Podem Veeraiah, during a government programme in Kothagudem district. Forest minister Indrakaran Reddy and other officials were present. Rega Kantha Rao praised the Chief Minister and said his party would win the upcoming elections. Podem Veeraiah objected to political talk at a government event, leading to a heated argument between the two. The Collector and police intervened to stop them from fighting. Supporters on both sides raised slogans, and the minister left the event upset. This was the first time the two leaders argued in person, as they had previously exchanged words online and in the media.
