Hyderabad: The Bhagyanagar Sri Ramanavami Utsav Samiti has invited Governor Jishnu Dev Varma to attend the Sri Sitarama Kalyanam celebration. The event will take place at Sitaram Bagh on April 6, as part of the Sri Ramanavami festival.
The leaders of the Utsav Samiti, led by President Bhagwanth Rao, met the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. During the meeting, they invited him to the event and shared details about the grand celebrations. They explained that the Sri Rama Kalyanam is held every year with great devotion and fanfare at the historic Sitarama Mandir, which is nearly 300 years old.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma thanked them for the invitation and said he was happy to be part of the event. He expressed his interest in attending the celebration. Along with Bhagwanth Rao, other members who met the Governor included General Secretary Govinda Rathi, Vice President Mettu Vaikuntam, Treasurer Sriram Vyas, Member Rama Raju, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad Telangana Campaign President Pagudakula Balaswamy.
