On Monday, District Collector VP Gautham visited a grain collection center in Paleru village to inspect how much grain had been collected so far. He asked officials to speed up the process and make sure farmers don’t face any difficulties. He also wanted to know about OPMS registrations. Gautham ordered officials to provide vehicles for transportation and ensure monitoring during loading and unloading.
Later, Gautham visited Sri Sainath Modern Rice Mill in Sriramnagar and Bhagyalakshmi Rice Mills in Kothur Dhamsalapuram to inspect the grain collection. He asked how much grain had been collected and unloaded every day and warned millers against cutting from farmers and taking complaints seriously.
Other officials present at the inspection included DRDO Vidyachandana, district cooperation officer Vijayakumari, district civil supplies officer Rajender, civil supplies district manager Somulu, Agriculture department AD Sunitha, Kusumanchi MPP Srinivas, MPDO Karunakar Reddy, and tehsildar Menon.
