The Lord Rama temple in Bhadrachalam began the Sri Ram Navami Navahnika Thiru Kalyana Bramothsavalu celebration on Tuesday, which also marked the Telugu New Year Day. The annual festivities started with an abhishekam programme and pujas conducted by the temple priests. They also went to the Godavari River to get Thirdha Bindha for a special abhishekam.

In the evening, a “Panchangasravanam” ceremony was held to provide astrological insights and blessings for the upcoming year to the devotees. This celebration, usually starting on Ugadi, is important for devotees as it commemorates events like the wedding of Lord Rama and Sita on April 17 and the Coronation festival on April 18.
