Hanamkonda: Police Warn Hostels to Follow Guidelines

The Commissioner of Police, Amber Kishore Jha, announced on Thursday that strict action would be taken against hostels that fail to comply with safety and operational guidelines. This came as part of efforts to improve crime control in the Hanamkonda region. A meeting was held with private hostel owners at the KU police station in Bheemaram to discuss these measures.

During the meeting, the Commissioner highlighted several important points. Hostel owners were instructed to ensure cleanliness in the surrounding areas and to install CCTV cameras as a mandatory safety measure. He also stressed the importance of maintaining a daily record of everyone entering and exiting the hostels in a dedicated register. Additionally, hostel management was advised to monitor the daily routines of residents closely.

Another key directive was to restrict hostel residents from going outside during nighttime. Visitors coming to meet residents should also be thoroughly documented. The Commissioner urged hostel management to implement these measures by December 31, with the cooperation of local police. Starting in January, the police plan to conduct intensive inspections of all hostels to ensure compliance.
