Hyderabad: The cultural wing of the Hare Krishna Movement in Hyderabad, called SUMEDHASA (Intelligence Through Culture), is launching a new summer program for children called “Culture Camp 2025.” This value-based and holistic camp will begin on April 24.
The camp’s poster and teaser were recently released by Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, the president of the Hare Krishna Movement in Hyderabad.
Culture Camp 2025 will run for 21 days during the summer holidays. It is designed to help children learn about Indian traditions, culture, and spirituality in a fun and engaging way. Activities will include learning pooja (rituals), chanting mantras and slokas, singing Krishna rhymes, listening to Vedic stories, trying out fireless cooking, and playing Yogic games. These activities aim to help children grow in all areas while staying connected to their cultural roots.
Some of the exciting highlights of the camp include a special children’s Ratha Yatra (chariot festival), “Abala Gopalam” (where kids perform a sacred bath called Abhishekham for Lord Krishna), and a Mega Talent Day where children will show what they learned through performances and displays.
Children between the ages of 6 and 16 can join the camp. It will be held daily from 8:45 am to 1:00 pm. To register, parents can visit the official website at https://sumedhasa.in/enrollment/. For more information, they can also call 81436 55188.
