Finance Minister T Harish Rao emphasized that the loan waiver money should directly benefit the farmers instead of going to the banks. He expressed this during the state level bankers committee meeting held in Hyderabad. The government has already waived off the farm loans for the second time, making Telangana the only state in the country to do so twice. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has prioritized agriculture and the welfare of farmers, which is why loan waiver benefits are being provided to them.
