Heavy rain predicted in Telangana: officials warn of ongoing floods

Heavy rain hit Telangana on Thursday, with Hyderabad receiving 12 cm of rainfall. Areas like Ameerpet, Panjagutta, and Manikonda faced flooding, causing worry among locals already affected by recent rains.

The Hyderabad Meteorological Department predicts more heavy rain in East and South Telangana. Places like Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, and Nagar Kurnool should prepare for these conditions, especially in the evening and night.

Rainfall is expected to continue in many Telangana districts for the next five days. On the 9th and 10th, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba, and Gadwal will see heavy rain. All districts will experience moderate rain on the 11th and 12th, with very heavy rain possibly returning on the 13th. Residents should stay alert and ready for worsening weather.
