A home guard named Ravinder attempted suicide by setting himself on fire to protest against the government’s refusal to recognize them as government employees. Unfortunately, Ravinder passed away after three days of treatment for his severe injuries. He died on Friday morning at DRDO Apollo due to his worsening health condition.

Three days ago, Ravinder set himself on fire with petrol in order to demand that the government make the home guards permanent employees. He was immediately taken to the hospital and received treatment, but the doctors confirmed that he had passed away. His body was then taken to Osmania Hospital, causing tension in the neighborhood.

Ravinder worked as a home guard in the local traffic PS in Chandrayanagutta, Hyderabad. He attempted suicide because he had not been paid his salary for two months and was facing financial difficulties.
