HYDRA successfully protected 9.05 acres of government land in Shamshabad mandal, Ranga Reddy district on Wednesday, removing illegal encroachments from property valued at over Rs. 90 crores. The operation was conducted following complaints received through Praja Vani by the Ranga Reddy Collector and Shamshabad Municipal officials regarding unauthorized construction activities on the disputed land.

According to revenue records, survey number 626/2 contains a total of 176.05 acres of government land in the village. The government had previously allocated 166 acres to the Forest Development Corporation, leaving 9.05 acres as government land. The khasra pahani, which refers to old village records, clearly documents the entire 176.05 acres as government property.

Revenue officials reported that certain individuals have been claiming rights to the 9.05 acres, asserting these are CS 14 lands belonging to the Nizam era. However, revenue authorities maintain that the land is government property. The matter is currently pending in the High Court, which has issued a stay order preventing any change in the land’s nature or construction activities until a final judgment is delivered.

Despite the High Court’s status quo order, complaints were filed alleging that an individual named Tajammul Moinuddin Khan had plowed the land and converted it into a layout. Field inspections conducted by revenue officials confirmed that Moinuddin Khan had illegally plowed the 9.05 acres and encroached upon it by erecting precast walls around the property.

Under the Land Encroachment Act 1905, revenue officials issued instructions to Moinuddin to remove the encroachments immediately. The officials discovered that he had ignored these directives and had allegedly sold some house sites within the encroached area. Both revenue and municipal officials subsequently wrote to HYDRA requesting intervention to remove the illegal encroachments.

Following the formal complaint from revenue and municipal authorities, HYDRA launched the encroachment removal operation on Wednesday. The agency dismantled the unauthorized structures and precast walls that had been erected on the government land. The operation was carried out in coordination with revenue officials and municipal authorities to ensure proper documentation and legal compliance.

After clearing the encroachments, HYDRA erected protective fencing around the entire 9.05 acres to prevent future unauthorized activities. The agency also installed boards clearly marking the property as government land. The protective measures were implemented to secure the valuable land parcel until the High Court delivers its final verdict on the ownership dispute.

The entire program was completed in the presence of revenue officials and municipal officials who supervised the operation. The successful protection of this government land worth Rs. 90 crores demonstrates the coordinated efforts of multiple government agencies to safeguard public property from illegal encroachment and unauthorized development activities in Shamshabad mandal.
