Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected across many parts of Telangana, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad. The IMD has issued an orange alert for several districts, warning people to prepare for intense downpours over the next day.

Districts like Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nizamabad, and Jagtial are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. These areas may also face thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds.

The IMD says the wet weather will continue across much of Telangana through the weekend. Rainfall will bring down daytime temperatures, especially in Hyderabad and nearby regions, where temperatures are expected to remain below 36°C between May 23 and May 26.
