    Hyderabad: State Governor Jishnu Dev Varma highlighted India’s strong cultural values and their resilience against historical challenges. Speaking at the inaugural event of Lokmanthan Bhagyanagar-2024 on Friday, he emphasized that India has a long history of enduring cultural destruction but has always stood firm. “India is a land of many languages, cultures, and ways of life, showcasing unity in diversity across various fields,” he said.

    The Governor also pointed out the significant role played by every state, including the North Eastern states, in strengthening India’s unity. He expressed hope that the Lokmanthan-2024 program would further guide the nation in this direction. “As a country that has survived numerous foreign conspiracies, we must advance with unity and harmony. This is the essence of our mythology,” he added.

    Union Minister of Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, shared insights about the purpose of Lokmanthan, which is based on the idea of “Country Above All.” He explained that the event focuses on Indian heritage, culture, arts, tribal traditions, social cohesion, knowledge systems, education, medicine, policy, food science, temple science, environmental protection, and related fields.

    State Women and Child Welfare Minister, Seethakka, spoke about Hyderabad as a symbol of cultural diversity. She described the city as “mini India” and urged everyone to work together to make India the best country in the world.

    As part of the event, former Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao presented a book addressing legal solutions to tribal issues in the Telangana region to President Droupadi Murmu.
