Khammam district leader Jalagam Venkatarao expressed confidence in getting the BJP ticket for the Khammam Lok Sabha seat. He visited the party headquarters in Hyderabad and discussed the matter with party leaders, including state organisational general secretary Chandrashekar Tiwari.

Following the meeting, Jalagam Venkatarao spoke to reporters and mentioned that he had a casual discussion with party leaders. It was revealed that the announcement of the candidate for Khammam seat was delayed, possibly to wait for the Warangal ticket to be finalized. The BJP has already announced candidates for 15 out of 17 Lok Sabha seats, with only Warangal and Khammam seats remaining.
