Kavitha requests CBI to retract notice in Delhi excise policy case

I am asking you to cancel the Notice that was sent to me under Section 41A Cr.P.C. without considering the previous Notice I received under Section 160 Cr.P.C. I have many important commitments in my state and need to be present during the ongoing parliamentary elections. Please put the Notice on hold.

I urge you to understand my busy schedule and responsibilities towards the people of my state. I have personal meetings scheduled in different districts over the next 6 weeks, making it difficult for me to appear in person on 26.2.2024. However, I am willing to answer any questions or provide information through a virtual platform if needed.

I am disappointed that you issued a new Notice under Section 41A Cr.P.C. even though a similar Notice was already sent to me on 2.12.2022 under Section 160 Cr.P.C. Since I have no involvement in the accusations and the case is already in court, my assistance is not required by the CBI anymore.

The current Notice under Section 41A Cr.P.C. contradicts the previous Notice under Section 160 Cr.P.C. that I have already complied with. It is unclear why you are now resorting to a different section without explanation. The matter is already being heard by the Supreme Court, and the statement made by the ASG should apply to this case as well.
